Ride report by Simeon Orme After climbing out of Halton up to Four Lanes End, I cross over Kellet Lane and followed Bottomdale Road for short distance before heading down Ancliffe Lane into Bolton-le-Sands where join the towpath of the Lancaster Canal which I followed into Carnforth. I was first customer of day at Refreshment Room on Carnforth Railway Station where I stop for my morning coffee and cake. After getting my first cake fix of the day, I headed out of Carnforth, crossing over River Keer via cycle / foot bridge near Hagg Wood and followed the public way into Warton where I stop to look around the Old Rectory. I then headed out of Warton on the Coach Road before following the permitted bridleway up to Occupation Road where I followed this bridleway over Warton Crag and down to Crag Foot, then the tarmac across Leighton Moss and then lanes into Silverdale for lunch on shore. After my lunch stop, I headed back through Silverdale and followed the lanes through Waterslack and Brackenthwaite, then across Hale Moss where I cross over A6. After crossing A6, I followed Moss Lane across Burton Moss before following lanes through Hilderstone and Cinderbarrow. Then headed down the towpath to Tewitfield where I rejoin the tarmac and headed along Kellet Lane. Stopping Catch-23 Cafe and Restaurant at Borwick Fisheries for afternoon brew. Then after my brewstop, I headed back through Over Kellet back to Halton.
