A 39.8 mile ride to Little Langdale

Following the public byway from the ford into the Little Langdale, you can see rest of the ride photos which this route is based on at this link.

The route is 39.8 miles long, starting and finishing at Ashes Lane, about good third of the ride is off-road, the ferry fare across Lake Windermere is £1 for one cyclist and a bike in July 2012, there are two cafe stops at Wilf’s Cafe in Staveley and Brambles Cafe at Chapel Stile in Great Langdale.
