28th August 2016: Ride leader workshop

A view of the ride leader workshop.

Well I was post to having ride to Mallerstang but got interesting e-mail from Cycling -UK (That the Cyclist touring club new trading name) earlier in week about ride leadership workshop being on at Lancaster University which I thought would interesting to go to and another plus it was free, so I book place on the workshop.

On the day, I rode up to University, it did take a bit time to find where the workshop was being held, even for local like myself  the University is rabbit warren of buildings but once I found the venue for the workshop it prove a interesting about the theory of ride leadership even for someone like myself who has be leading rides for past 30 plus years.

If  thinking about leading a ride, its well worth going on one of these workshops, you come away with Ride Leader Handbook and certificate to say you can lead a ride.

You can click here to see photos of 11th September ride to High Newton or you can check out forthcoming events on the Diary of cycle events. Also checkout the What’s New Page to see what’s new on the site and you can also signup for site’s free weekly newsletter.
